Are you a PRCS teacher pursuing National Board Certification? We want to help.
The Friends of PRCS NBC Grant Program provides financial support to PRCS teachers pursuing their National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) designation, widely recognized as the gold standard in professional teaching certification. Our goal is to invest in the teachers who are committed to growing professionally and making a lasting impact on our students and school community.

Already an approved participant?
If your NBC grant application has been approved, use the button below to submit a reimbursement request after paying for a component. Attach your NBPTS payment receipt and the committee will process your reimbursement through the standard Friends of PRCS process. Reimbursement requests may be submitted as soon as you incur the cost. Checks are issued once per month.

Who Can Apply
Current PRCS teachers with at least one year of tenure who are pursuing National Board Certification for the first time.

What We Cover
Component fees ($475 each) and the annual NBPTS registration fee ($75). Up to 2 components per year and 4 components lifetime.

When to Apply
Applications are reviewed by a committee of two PTO board members and Principal Ussery.

Getting Reimbursed
Once approved, pay NBPTS out of pocket and submit a reimbursement request using the form below. The committee reviews your request and processes reimbursement through the standard Friends of PRCS process. Checks are issued once per month.

Our Promise to PRCS
As part of your application, you will be asked to express your commitment to continue teaching at PRCS for a minimum of two years after achieving your NBC. This is a non-binding expression of your intent and reflects the community spirit of this program.
